Marathon Talk Show Started From Lumbini

Lumbini, April 11: The News24 television channel and the Welcome Event Management have jointly started a 60-hour marathon talk show on the topic “Lord Buddha was born in Nepal”. The programme is being broadcasted live on News24 from 9am on April 11 will aim at promoting Nepal as the birthplace of Lord Buddha. The talk show being hosted by journalist Rabi Lamichhane has begun in Kathmandu News 24 television station after lighting of peace torch from Eternal Peace Flame of Lumbini. According to Mr. Lamichhane, the objective of the programme is to set a Guinness world record as the longest marathon talk show in one hand and to make people worldwide aware of Nepal as the holy birthplace of Sakyamuni Buddha.

Mr. Om Aryal, the Treasurer and Mr. Ajitman Tamang, the Member Secretary of Lumbini Development Trust jointly handed over the peace torch from Lumbini Eternal Peace Flame to a team of marathon runners. The peace torch was then carried in a rally from Lumbini to News 24 television station, Kathmandu by the runners including veteran marathon runner Baikuntha Manandhar.
